𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔 of my creative process!

👋Hello to all you wonderful new faces joining my page! I’m thrilled to have you here on this creative adventure with me. 🌼🦋✨

I wanted to take a moment to invite you 𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔 of my creative process!

1.) 🌼🦋It all starts with either a butterfly or a flower - they are the primary storyteller in my creations. Each one holds its own unique earth energy, and I sit with them individually, absorbing their essence, crafting, pulling other vintage pieces to help tell the story.

2.) 🎨🪴✍️Ever since my childhood drawing & painting days, I’ve had a peculiar knack for visualizing how I wanted it to look once it was complete, whatever that may be. I would pull different color and sizes of beads. I would pull parts from vintage earrings, bracelets. I will even pull sections of deer antlers.

3.) 🔥Once the pulling of items is complete, I work with drying the flowers, then painting with resin. With the butterflies they are laminated first and then painted with resin. It’s in this process that the design around these items evolve. The addition of the third dimension always introduces a subtle shift to the piece and it's future outcome.

4.) 🌲Now the piece is complete. I hope they symbolize not just what I craft but also the place where I craft, rooted in Georgia, the south, where there is an abundance of beauty, of nature.
