Friends. One universe, 9 planets, 204 countries, 809 islands, 7 seas and I had the privilege of meeting you. This is how I feel about Sandra Shockley.
We met by chance in May 2012. She owns a historical schoolhouse in Apalachee Georgia. She hired my husband and I to help with upkeep, cleaning, etc. A love of both history, beauty and friendship was born.
After the initial intro, we visited Sandra at her home and her school to do various projects. Cleaning, painting, interior decorating, whatever was needed we did. Then it stopped. We didn't hear from her for months. I called to see how she was and found that she had fallen. The fall was so severe that she required 48 screws in her fibula and tibia.
Over a year of rehab and my friend is able to get out and about. To this day she is not her old self. But if I were to look in Webster's Dictionary and look up the word tenacious, determined, willful, I know her picture will be there.
Sandra joined me on my Nerium journey in July 2014. We have been to every regional in Atlanta, two company conferences in St. Louis & Dallas. We are headed to Las Vegas in July.
She will always be near and dear to my heart. I hope she knows whether it be a social call or a Nerium call I will always be there!
